Where did your name come from?
It is shortened from my deadname. I made it my name because everyone called me G and even though I wanted to change it to Alex or Mike, I figured G would be easier for the people in my life to accept my transition.

What do you enjoy most about writing?
I love the catharsis and feeling on pen on paper when getting my feelings out. Half the time I forget what I write. Then when I read what I wrote, I am shocked. Sometimes I can’t believe what I wrote because it is awesome. My New York Times piece is that.
